Jiang Liuying (江流影) is a minor villain and the main antagonist in the first season of The Daily Life of the Immortal King.
Summary[]
She is a professional assassin for hire and the current leader of the shadow faction.
Appearance[]
She is a young adult with brown eyes and long brown hair. She wears a red sheath dress whit choker and uses sevening gloves.
Personality[]
She is very confident in her abilities and plans and usually anticipates victory. She often laughs insanely and is a psychopath.
According to the guards of the supreme prison, she is reputed to be a deceitful person.
She doesn't like to be called old, as seen with her being irritated by He Bufeng after the latter called her that.
She doesn't like to be underestimated, and according to her, anyone who does that will be killed. As well, she will not give up on finishing off her target until they’re down.
Story[]
She was born on June 23, 3034 in Songhai, the details of her childhood and early years are unknown.
In 4386, she was one of the candidates to become the leader of the shadow faction, but her sister was the favorite. She even thought about doing something to get her sister out of the way, even though she didn't really want to do anything. However, after her sister had disappeared after boarding a plane Air spirit, she took control of the criminal organization. Despite his sister's disappearance and her being the only legitimate candidate for faction leader left, there were those who were still loyal to her sister and were against her authority, causing disunity in the faction.
After the internal conflicts, the loyalists of his sister ended up being captured in 4394 by Zhuo Yi and the Seven Star Squadron, to her complete indifference.
In early 4396 she was hired to kill Sun Rong. His first efforts went to order some of her subordinates to do the job, but after successive defeats and with the interference of the seven-star squadron, she decides to do the job herself. She first missed the Seven Star Squadron using a dummy with a time bomb and planned to kill Sun Rong while she was still attending the annual spiritual sword conference, taking place at 59TH High at the time. She decided to use He Bufeng's appearance with the transformation technique and decided the timing was right to catch her off guard. She had a brief fight against Chen Chao and Tuntian Ha until she got the opportunity to kill Sun Rong, and apparently it was a success. But mysteriously she was knocked out and later she learned that Sun Rong survived. She was then taken to the supreme prison, located in the basement of 60TH High, by the seven star squadron, where she was stuck there for a few months.
In early August 4396, she realized that the earth's raw spiritual energy was at extremely low levels, and with that the containment seals that bound it were very weak. With that in mind she decided to escape, however, to her surprise her sister Jiang Liuyue appeared right in front of her, with her initially thinking that she was there to rescue her, but it is revealed by her sister that she was actually planning to kill her. But when her sister was about to kill her with a spirit arrow she is unexpectedly saved by Wang Zukang. She then discovers that this man was actually her sister's old boyfriend, where the two start flirting in front of her, which makes her extremely angry.
After the two left flying romantically on a spiritual sword she decided that she would wait a bit until her attempt to escape. On August 8, 4396 she then escapes her weakened cage and decides to use the sewer system to escape. But upon reaching the surface she is thrown back down by Wang Ling. After managing to surface again, she realizes that Sun Rong was nearby, and how his motto was to never give up on a job until it was done, she decides to finish the job and moves forward to kill Sun Rong, but Wang Ling rescues her and makes her accidentally hit Demon Master, who was in Lin Xiaoyu's body at the time, sending him back to the Demon World. She then is again flung by Wang Ling, where she gets briefly knocked out. She is arrested again by the guards and is put back in the supreme prison.
Some time later, she made an attempt to deceive the guards using her charm, only to be mockery by the guards. But an opportunity arises when the guards are mysteriously put under a powerful control technique ( released by Richman across the planet ), she then manages to escape again. In the city center she ends up seeing that Sun Rong was already taking measures to get everyone out of the world level control technique, she then decides to take advantage of the situation and tries to blackmail Sun Rong using the Sun family signal tower, however, her attempts are thwarted when she is suddenly hit by a meteor, which was launched by Richman who was trying to hit Wang Ling.
As mentioned in season 4, it is revealed that Jiang Liuying survived and was rearrested.
Techniques[]
Negative Energy
The energy that can devour other people's spiritual power for a while to increase his own strength , can also be used to physically disintegrate other people.
Weakness: Beings with stronger spiritual energy and better control, like Tuntian Ha, can simply nullify another attack of negative energy or absorb it. Besides, powerful beings like Wang Ling can simply reverse the effects of negative energy.
Enhanced strength
She was able to easily damage He Bufeng, a Golden Core stage cultivator, with a punch that sent him a few feet away. Her strength can be seen again when she forcibly canceled Demon Master's possession in Lin Xiaoyu, after hitting him with a punch with negative energy concentrate.
Levitation power
Using spiritual energy, she is able to levitate small objects, such as an arrow, and freely control it.
Sensing power
She was able to realize that the raw spirit energy of Earth was lower and her saddle seal must be weaker as well.
Thunder pearl
A device which contains, according to her, enough raw power to disintegrate every fiber of an experienced cultivator. Jiang Liuying uses her combined with an advanced android similar in appearance to her to draw targets closer.
Relations[]
Zhuo Yi: Being the hero of Songhai and then leader of the Seven Star Squadron they would naturally be antagonistic towards each other. He made several attempts to end the Shadow Faction once and for all, where both played a kind of cat and mouse game with one always trying to be ahead and eliminate the other. She might have feelings for him seen in anime but she might be refusing to acknowledge her feelings
Sun Rong: It was her and the Shadow Faction's main target in 4396. As she never gives up on a job until she completes it, it ended up becoming her main motivation.
Wang Ling: Their relationship is that of mutual distain, she thinks of Ling as a cultivator of only 5 spirit energy rank and therefore mistakes him for a nobody, even though he has soundly defeated her over and over.
Jiang Liuyue: Despite being sisters, they are not that close. She even considered finding a way to prevent her from becoming leader of the shadow faction, even if she wasn't really going to do something. Despite the rivalries, she thought that her sister would not have the courage to kill her, and after seeing that this was not true, she ended up putting her sister on the list of people she wanted to kill.
He Bufeng: By infiltrating 59TH High she ran into He Bufeng, who promptly started flirting with her. She pretended to be blushing and delighted for him, but refused the bouquet of flowers he sent her. He in turn called him an old woman, which pissed her off and made her deliver a mighty punch to He Bufeng's face. After dispelling He Bufeng's negative energy she found it very hilarious as he thought that would be enough to intimidate her, since even his chauffeur could pull off such a trick.
Trivia[]
-It is known that she has at least Nascent Soul (元嬰期) level, once her driver had that level.
-Her main targets are Sun Rong; Zhuo Yi and her sister.
-She still doesn't realize that it was Wang Ling who knocked her down on more than one occasion.
