Tang Jingze (唐競澤), nicknamed by Guo Hao as Tang Birdie Two (唐二蛋), is a minor antagonist of The Daily Life of the Immortal King series.

Summary[]

He’s the student council president of 59TH high and one of Tang Sanzang's descendants.

Appearance[]

Tang Jingze is a teenage student with blue eyes and black hair, He wears glasses and is usually seen wearing the standard uniform of 59TH's High.

On the left side of his hair he has a money symbol (yuan).

Personality[]

Being from one of the most powerful families in Huaxiu, the Tang family, he born in a splendid cradle, and from a very young age he was considered an elite cultivator in terms of spiritual energy. He ended up staying become very arrogant and ambitious, in addition to proving to be quite competitive against those who dare to face him.

He is very narcissistic, besides being outgoing; pragmatic; extremely confident in his skills; daring; dominant and uninhibited.

He enjoys being fawned over and adored by other people, and will not miss an opportunity to become grandiose by his position as 59TH High's student council president or by being from the Tang family.

He likes influence and command others, when inviting Guo Hao to look for spirit beasts with him he said that Guo Hao should beg for his help, clearly showing a tendency not only to be vindictive but also to depend on always being superior, in addition to always seeking more status and power.

When 60TH high seemed to be frighteningly close to him in the spiritual power rank list, he decided to ask Miss Xie's permission to summon He Bufeng, even with the latter’s past as a troublemaker. Demonstrating that he doesn't like losing at all.

In the manhua version, he was shown to be extremely dirty as well, ordering rotten food to be given to one of the students at 60th high so that they would feel bad and could not participate, in addition to ordering Yisha bei to ripping off Wang Ling's clothes, since with this embarrassment he couldn't be the company of Sun Rong at the ball.

Story[]

He is born in 4380, being descendant from Tang Sanzang, a powerful buddhist monk who fought demons and monster with three disciples (one of them being Monkey King), on a journey to retrieve the buddhist sutras from the west (India) in the distant past.

Both the descendants of the Great Monk and Monkey King became families of great spiritual capital and prestige in Huaxiu, despite this, a climate of rivalry was created between the two families that was passed down from generation to generation.

Tang Jingze was raised by his parents who taught about his family history and that he should surpass the Sun family and make it fall. Jingze, however, ended up romantically attracted to the one who should have been his enemy, Sun Rong. Although he still had the desire to make the Sun family fall, he now wanted to be Rong's partner.

While studying at the cultivation preparatory school, he was fawned over by many girls and was the main star of his class.

He entered 59TH high school and became president of the student council, where he constantly boasted of his enormous spiritual power, and from year to year he began to humiliate those who dared to challenge him in the competition of spiritual swords.

During the spiritual power test he is passed by Wang Ling and a " simple " dog, which made his classmates tease him.

In the 4396th edition of the annual spirit sword competition he tried to flirt with Sun Rong but was quickly rebuffed, later the two clash. It turns out that 60TH High amazingly wins the prelims against 59TH High but the competition is canceled by Zhuo Yi at the behest of the cultivation department.

Sun Rong: Being from rival families and taught since childhood to hate each other, but Jingze ended up falling in love with her, with that he always tried to win her over, with the pretext of not only getting to end the Sun family but also marry her.

Guo Hao: After losing to him, and the 60TH High class, he developed a huge grudge against him. After Guo Hao called him "second place", this ended up creating a certain rivalry between them, in which Jingze will at all costs want to prove himself better than him. In the manhua version, Jingze is so angry with him that he inappropriately that all his colleagues attacked him. He regards him as a mortal rival.

Wang Ling: With Yisha Bei's sensory powers pinpointing him as being very weak he didn't have much to worry about, however when Ling merged with the mascot of 60TH high he was worried about the apparent level of power he had become, and that's why he had changed the class's strategy. When he realized that Sun Rong had feelings for him, Jingze was extremely irritated with him.

He Bufeng: Despite recognizing his power, he considers him as someone troublesome. He managed to realize that Bufeng was different and that it was probably not him, what was really true because it was Jiang Liuying in disguise.

Tuntian Ha: Upon seeing the enormous spiritual power that the seemingly weakling Wang Ling achieved after merging with him Jingze was extremely worried that his plan to beat 60Th High could fail if it does not change the strategy. When Guo Hao said that he would be the beast that would fight his ranguratora he was clearly shaken to learn of his incredible power, and that his spirit beast didn't stand a chance.

Jiang Liuying: Initially, Jingze was unaware of her identity since she was impersonating He Bufeng until Yisha bei said she couldn’t detect the real Bufeng. During the spirit sword competition, he told Jiang Liuying that she had to obey him whoever she actually was and that he would let her do whatever she wanted once his team was victorious.

Liang Fei: Tang Jingze considers Liang Fei as an impulsive person due to him jumping the guns occasionally.

  • Tang Jingze is voiced by Zhang Fu Zheng (aka Wai Wai), who also voices for Xu Feng.
  • During cultivation preparatory school, he used to study in the same class as Guo Hao.
  • He’s the opposite reflection of his ancestor: He’s assertive, arrogant and narcissistic, unlike the Great Monk, he’s not gullible and calculating.
  • The very existence of Jingze’s nickname, “Tang Birdie Two”, is particularly caused by Birdie Two, since it is the bird’s real name.
